In California, employers are required to comply with all workplace posting obligations. Most required postings are available at no cost from the issuing agency. The Department of Industrial Relations mandates that employers display information regarding wages, hours, and working conditions in a location regularly accessed by employees and easily visible during the workday. Certain workplaces may also be subject to additional posting requirements.

We have observed an increase in requests from jobsite watchdog groups for these documents, resulting in contractors being cited for non‑compliance. It is essential that all employees on your jobsite are informed of the jobsite binder and know where it is located.
​
To remain compliant with this requirement, place the documents listed below in a binder and store it in a location that employees can easily access, such as a work vehicle, jobsite trailer, or any other frequently used area. Ensure the binder is updated at least once per month to maintain compliance. Label your binders as follows:​
